MAROWAK is the evolved form of a CUBONE that has overcome its sadness at the loss of its mother and grown tough. This POKéMON’s tempered and hardened spirit is not easily broken.

Marowak Weakness

Water, Grass, and Ice moves hit Marowak for super-effective damage. The upside? Electric-type moves can't touch it at all. Lightning Rod grants an additional Electric immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Marowak's physical bulk (base 110 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

  • In Ruby & Sapphire, watch for Starmie (Water), Venusaur (Grass), and Cloyster (Ice) when using Marowak. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB.

  • In Ruby & Sapphire, Cubone evolves into Marowak at level 28. Marowak is the final evolution in a 3-stage line starting from Cubone. It sits at 425 BST in its evolved form.

  • For Ruby & Sapphire, it depends on your team. Marowak at 425 BST isn't a powerhouse, but the Ground coverage might be exactly what you're missing.
