Crystal

Marowak Weakness

Water, Grass, and Ice moves hit Marowak for super-effective damage. The upside? Electric-type moves can't touch it at all. Marowak's physical bulk (base 110 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

Marowak Guide

  • In Crystal, watch for Starmie (Water), Venusaur (Grass), and Cloyster (Ice) when using Marowak. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB.

  • In Crystal, Cubone evolves into Marowak at level 28. Marowak is the final evolution in a 3-stage line starting from Cubone. It sits at 425 BST in its evolved form.

  • For Crystal, it depends on your team. Marowak at 425 BST isn't a powerhouse, but the Ground coverage might be exactly what you're missing.

  • In Crystal, Marowak has a 425 base stat total and ranks as B-Tier: a solid option in Crystal for the right team. It works best as a balanced. Earthquake with Thickclub is the standard set.

  • In Crystal, Ground typing gives Marowak 3 resistances plus Electric immunity. Base 110 Defense is the standout stat. 425 BST gives it a workable foundation.

Game Availability

Marowak first appeared in Red & Blue and spans 20 games across 10 generations. It later gained an Alolan form in Generation 7, adding new dimensions to its competitive identity.
