Stats & Training
Nothing fancy in Machamp's spread. It leans physical with Attack out front. And you'll get 3 Attack stat exp per KO for it. Follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
With four arms that react more quickly than it can think, it can execute many punches at once.
Machamp Weakness
Machamp is weak to Flying and Psychic. Not many exploitable gaps in the Fighting typing defensive chart. With 90 HP and balanced defenses, Machamp can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.

| 0.5x (Resist) | Bug, Rock, Dark |
- Dark and Steel types added — Fairy does not exist yet

Machamp Guide
In Crystal, Machamp works as a wallbreaker with 505 BST behind it. A-Tier on our list: a strong pick in Crystal's competitive scene. Crosschop with Leftovers is the standard set.
Machamp is a physical attacker with base 130 Attack. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. At base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often. Fits the wallbreaker role.
In Crystal, the best way to handle Machamp: Status moves (Toxic, Will-O-Wisp) wear it down. Setup sweepers can use it as a boost opportunity. Special attackers bypass its physical bulk.
For Crystal, the core moveset is Crosschop, Rock Slide, Earthquake, and Curse. Crosschop leads at 25% usage. Curse lets it set up before sweeping.
