Stats & Training
Bulk defines Lickilicky's stat line. HP and Defense anchor the defensive side, but Speed can't keep up offensively. Tough to catch and worth 3 HP EVs.
The long tongue is always soggy with slobber. The saliva contains a solvent that causes numbness.
Lickilicky Weakness
Lickilicky's Normal typing leaves it vulnerable to Fighting. It shrugs off Ghost-type attacks completely. Lickilicky's overall bulk (110/95/95) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Fighting |
| 0x (Immune) | Ghost |
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)

Lickilicky Guide
For Platinum, we rate Lickilicky C-Tier: a niche pick in Platinum's meta. At 515 BST, the stats are spread pretty evenly. Explosion with Leftovers is the standard set.
In Platinum, watch for Lucario (Fighting) when using Lickilicky. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. Lickilicky has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
Own Tempo prevents confusion. That's the one you want on Lickilicky. Cloud Nine is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Oblivious works too if your team needs something different.
Base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Lickilicky is a physical attacker with base 85 Attack. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits.
For Platinum, Lickilicky has answers, but so do you. Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Fighting-type attackers hit hardest.
