Stats & Training
Gardevoir's spread isn't flashy. Sp. Atk leads, Attack trails, 3 stats clear the bar. Tough to catch and worth 3 Sp. Atk EVs, on a slow 1.25M XP grind.
It apparently does not feel the pull of gravity because it supports itself with psychic power. It will give its life to protect its TRAINER.
Gardevoir Weakness
Type-wise, Gardevoir takes extra damage from Bug, Ghost, and Dark. Gardevoir's special bulk (base 115 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Bug, Ghost, Dark |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Fighting, Psychic |
- Dark and Steel types added — Fairy does not exist yet
- Moves are Physical or Special based on type, not per move
In Emerald, Moltres's Flamethrower hits Gardevoir for 38-44%.

How to Get Gardevoir in Emerald
Gardevoir doesn't appear wild. Catch Ralts instead, it shows up but it's a rare spawn. Evolve it at level 30 to get Gardevoir. The 3-stage chain is mapped in the step cards below.
Gardevoir Guide
In Emerald, Gardevoir has a 518 base stat total and ranks as C-Tier: a niche pick in Emerald's meta. It works best as a wallbreaker. Psychic with Leftovers is the standard set.
Mega Evolution isn't available in Emerald, but Gardevoir does have a Mega form in Gen 6-7 games (X/Y, ORAS, Sun/Moon). Mega Gardevoir hits 618 BST.
In Emerald, Gardevoir's biggest threats include Heracross (Bug), Misdreavus (Ghost), and Absol (Dark), all carrying super-effective STAB moves.
Synchronize is the go-to ability for Gardevoir. It copies burns, paralysis, and poison received onto the Pokémon that inflicted them. Its hidden ability Telepathy can work in specific setups. Trace is the other option. Pick based on what your team needs.
In Emerald, Gardevoir fills the wallbreaker role. It's a special attacker with base 125 Sp. Atk. Base 80 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
