After battle, this Pokémon carefully sharpens its tusks on river rocks. It needs to take care of its tusks—if one breaks, it will never grow back.

Fraxure Guide

  • At 410 BST, Fraxure is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Haxorus before bringing it to any serious fight.

  • In Sword & Shield, watch for Cloyster (Ice), Salamence (Dragon), and Gardevoir (Fairy) when using Fraxure. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB.

  • In Sword & Shield, Axew evolves into Fraxure at level 38. Fraxure evolves into Haxorus at level 48. Fraxure is a middle-stage evolution in the Axew line.

  • Fraxure gets Mold Breaker, Rivalry, and Unnerve. But Mold Breaker is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.

  • Fraxure is a physical attacker with base 117 Attack. Speed tells the real story. At base 67 Speed, it won't be moving first often. Fits the cannon role.

Game Availability

Since Black & White, Fraxure has been obtainable in 8 games. A Generation 5 debut means a shorter history, but Fraxure has appeared steadily across every generation since.
