Stats & Training
Attack and HP carry most of Dracozolt's stat budget. Sp. Def's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 2 Attack EVs. Follows a slow 1.25M XP grind.
In ancient times, it was unbeatable thanks to its powerful lower body, but it went extinct anyway after it depleted all its plant-based food sources.
The powerful muscles in its tail generate its electricity. Compared to its lower body, its upper half is entirely too small.
Dracozolt Weakness
Dracozolt is weak to Ice, Ground, Dragon, and Fairy. With 6 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Volt Absorb grants an additional Electric immunity, reshaping the matchup chart.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Ice, Ground, Dragon, Fairy |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Fire, Water, Grass, Flying, Steel |
| 0.25x (Resist) | Electric |
In Sword & Shield, Excadrill's Earthquake also KOs at 115-136%.

Moves
TMs carry this one. Dracozolt learns Outrage and Thunder naturally for STAB, but the offensive range comes almost entirely from technical machines. Normal and Flying and beyond give it real matchup play.

Dracozolt Guide
In Sword & Shield, Sand Rush changes the entire equation for Dracozolt. The 505 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as an attacker. Boltbeak with Life Orb is the standard set.
Sand Rush is what you want on Dracozolt. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Volt Absorb, Hustle) work on paper but Sand Rush is what makes Dracozolt worth using.
Base 75 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Dracozolt is a physical attacker with base 100 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as an attacker.
For Sword & Shield, the core moveset is Boltbeak, Protect, Dragonclaw, and Fire Fang. Boltbeak leads at 24% usage. This set covers the attacker role with a mix of damage and utility.
