Arctozolt Guide

  • In Sword & Shield, Arctozolt looks average on paper at 505 BST. But Slush Rush is why it sees play. Build around that and it pulls its weight. C-Tier attacker on our tier list. Boltbeak with Heavy-Duty Boots is the standard set.

  • In Sword & Shield, watch for Cinderace (Fire), Machamp (Fighting), and Rhydon (Ground) when using Arctozolt. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Rock-type attackers are also a problem.

  • Arctozolt gets Slush Rush, Volt Absorb, and Static. But Slush Rush is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.

  • Arctozolt is a special attacker with base 90 Sp. Atk. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. At base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often. Fits the attacker role.

  • In Sword & Shield, run Boltbeak, Blizzard, Substitute, and Lowkick on Arctozolt. Boltbeak is the most common pick at 25% usage. Blizzard provides reliable STAB damage.
