Stats & Training
An unusually even spread gives Dewott flexibility. Sp. Atk barely edges ahead. But Defense isn't far off. Tough to catch and follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve. Yields 2 Sp. Atk EVs.

Dewott Weakness
Type-wise, Dewott takes extra damage from Electric and Grass. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Just 2 weak spots to worry about, which keeps teambuilding straightforward.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Electric, Grass |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Fire, Water, Ice, Steel |
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)
In Black 2 & White 2, Magnezone can KO Dewott with Thunderbolt (113-133%). Breloom's Bullet Seed hits Dewott for 42-49%. Rotom deals 83-98% with Thunderbolt.

Dewott Guide
Dewott is meant to evolve into Samurott. At 413 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.
In Black 2 & White 2, Oshawott evolves into Dewott at level 17. Dewott can evolve into Samurott and Hisuian Samurott depending on the method. Dewott is a middle-stage evolution in the Oshawott line.
Torrent is the go-to ability for Dewott. It strengthens water moves to inflict 1.5× damage at 1/3 max HP or less. Its hidden ability Shell Armor can work in specific setups.
At base 60 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Dewott is a physical attacker with base 75 Attack.
Game Availability
Dewott joined the series in Black & White and has been available in 8 titles so far. With 6 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
