The fiery blades on its arms burn fiercely with the lingering resentment of a sword wielder who fell before accomplishing their goal.

Ceruledge Weakness

Water, Ground, Rock, Ghost, and Dark moves hit Ceruledge for super-effective damage. The upside? Normal and Fighting-type moves can't touch it at all. With 7 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Flash Fire grants an additional Fire immunity, reshaping the matchup chart.

How to Get Ceruledge in Legends: Z-A

No wild encounters for Ceruledge in Legends: Z-A. Bring Charcadet over from Scarlet, then level through the stages. Each step in the chain is laid out below.

Ceruledge Guide

  • In Legends: Z-A, Flash Fire changes the entire equation for Ceruledge. The 525 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked B-Tier as a wallbreaker. Bitterblade with Focus Sash is the standard set.

  • In Legends: Z-A, watch for Starmie (Water), Swampert (Ground), and Rhyperior (Rock) when using Ceruledge. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Ghost and Dark-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.

  • Flash Fire is what you want on Ceruledge. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Weak Armor) work on paper but Flash Fire is what makes Ceruledge worth using. Flash Fire synergizes with Ceruledge's base 100 Sp.Def, letting it soak special attacks as a pivot.

  • Base 85 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Ceruledge is a physical attacker with base 125 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.

  • In Legends: Z-A, run Bitterblade, Swords Dance, Shadow Sneak, and Poltergeist on Ceruledge. Bitterblade is the most common pick at 25% usage. Poltergeist provides reliable STAB damage.

Game Availability

Ceruledge joined the series in Scarlet & Violet and has been available in 2 titles so far. With 2 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
