Stats & Training
The stat bars tell the story: Attack carries everything and Speed's dead weight. But this Freezing Pokemon still yields 2 Attack EVs per fight on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
It is a ferocious, carnivorous Pokémon. Once it captures its prey, it will breathe cold air onto the prey to freeze and preserve it.
Feared as the Snow-White Demon in northern lands, Beartic uses its frosty claws and fangs to attack prey.

Beartic Guide
In Scarlet & Violet, Beartic looks average on paper at 505 BST. But Slush Rush is why it sees play. Build around that and it pulls its weight. B-Tier wallbreaker on our tier list. Swords Dance with Loaded Dice is the standard set.
In Scarlet & Violet, Beartic's biggest threats include Volcarona (Fire), Machamp (Fighting), and Aerodactyl (Rock), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Steel-type attackers are also a problem.
Beartic gets Slush Rush, Snow Cloak, and Swift Swim. But Slush Rush is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
Beartic is a physical attacker with base 130 Attack. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. Fits the wallbreaker role.
For Scarlet & Violet, the core moveset is Swords Dance, Close Combat, Earthquake, and Icicle Spear. Swords Dance leads at 22% usage. This set covers the wallbreaker role with a mix of damage and utility.
