Trumbeak Sun & Moon Guide
In Sun & Moon, Trumbeak isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Toucannon to unlock its full potential. At 355 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
Keen Eye is the go-to ability for Trumbeak. It prevents accuracy from being lowered. Its hidden ability Pickup can work in specific setups. Skill Link is the other option. Pick based on what your team needs.
In Sun & Moon, Trumbeak fills the balanced role. It's a physical attacker with base 85 Attack. Base 75 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. And it's fragile, can't afford to take many hits.
In Sun & Moon, Trumbeak does the job early-game if you need a Normal/Flying type on your team. Evolve it into Toucannon before the later gyms and it holds up fine through the story.
Game Availability
Introduced in Sun & Moon, Trumbeak has appeared in 3 games across 4 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
