Piloswine Gold & Silver Guide
At 450 BST, Piloswine is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Mamoswine before bringing it to any serious fight.
Piloswine is a mixed attacker with base 100 Attack and 60 Sp. Atk. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. Fits the attacker role.
In Gold & Silver, For a casual playthrough, Piloswine works as a placeholder. Ice/Ground coverage is useful early. The real payoff is Mamoswine. That's where the stats start mattering.
In Gold & Silver, run Earthquake, Ice Beam, Sleep Talk, and Rest on Piloswine. Earthquake is the most common pick at 0% usage. Earthquake provides reliable STAB damage.
