Is Dragapult Good in Sword & Shield Playthrough?
Leon leads with Dragapult for good reason. 142 Speed is the fastest non-legendary in Galar, 120 Attack and 100 Special Attack hit from both sides, and Dragon/Ghost provides three immunities (Normal, Fighting, and resists many types). AbilityClear Body prevents stat drops. Level 60 evolution means it might not arrive until the Champion fight itself. When it does, nothing outspeeds it. The crown jewel of Gen 8 design.

Catch Drakloak on Lake of Outrage (overworld, Lv 55-58). Overcast.
Your Drakloak should hit Level 60 before you reach Leon, at typical leveling pace.
How to Get Dragapult in Sword & Shield
Can't catch Dragapult directly. Start with Dreepy but it's a rare spawn from the locations below, then evolve at level 60. The 3-stage chain from Dreepy to Dragapult is where the leveling time goes.
How to Obtain Dragapult in SwSh
To get Dragapult, start by catching Dreepy through walking encounters at Lv. 50-65. The chain covers 2 catchable stages before reaching the final form.

Dragapult Weakness
Dragapult's Dragon/Ghost typing leaves it vulnerable to Ice, Ghost, Dragon, Dark, and Fairy. It shrugs off Normal and Fighting-type attacks completely. It resists 6 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely.

| 2x (Weak) | Ice, Ghost, Dragon, Dark, Fairy |

Dragapult Evolutions
The three-stage chain from Dreepy through Drakloak ends here at Dragapult. Want more? Breed for Dreepy eggs. A decent partner pool available via two egg groups. The evolution from Dreepy pushed Dragapult to 600 total stats. HP saw the largest single gain at +60. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Breeding
Breed with Dragapult to get Dreepy eggs easily using 46 partners from the Indeterminate and Dragon egg groups. Notable egg moves include Confuse Ray, Curse, Disable and 4 more.
SwSh Dragapult Best Moveset
142 Speed is the fastest among all pseudo-legendary Pokemon and the second-fastest in the game. 120 Attack and 100 Sp. Atk with Dragon/Ghost TermStab hit from either side. AbilityInfiltrator bypasses substitutes and screens. The moveset defines the format. S-tier because the Speed tier plus dual-attacking flexibility is unmatched by any non-legendary.

Moves List
Breadth over depth defines this movepool. Dragapult won't stack one type's damage ceiling, but coverage across 10 types means it always has an effective option. Outrage and Dragon Rush anchor the STAB core.

How the move deals damage and which stats it uses.
A small dot on the icon's corner marks the move as contact. That triggers abilities like Static, Flame Body, Rough Skin, or Iron Barbs, plus items like Rocky Helmet and Sticky Barb.
Tier (S to D)
Each move's competitive rank in RankedBoost's system. TM, Egg, and Tutor sort by tier by default (best first). On Level-Up, click the Tier header to do the same.
PWR (Power)
Base damage. Numbers shown in a type color include STAB (base × 1.5). Hover any colored number to see the math.

Base Stats
When it isn’t battling, it keeps Dreepy in the holes on its horns. Once a fight starts, it launches the Dreepy like supersonic missiles.
Apparently the Dreepy inside Dragapult’s horns eagerly look forward to being launched out at Mach speeds.
Dragapult Sword & Shield Guide
In Sword & Shield, Dragapult works as a sweeper with 600 BST behind it. S-Tier on our list: one of the best picks in the Sword & Shield meta. Draco Meteor with Choice Specs is the standard set.
Clear Body prevents stats from being lowered by other Pokémon. That's the one you want on Dragapult. Cursed Body is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Infiltrator works too if your team needs something different.
Dragapult is a mixed attacker with base 120 Attack and 100 Sp. Atk. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 142 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. Fits the sweeper role.
For Sword & Shield, Dragapult has answers, but so do you. Priority moves (Mach Punch, Aqua Jet, Ice Shard) bypass its speed. Bulky walls that resist its STAB also shut it down.
Game Availability
Since Sword & Shield, Dragapult has been obtainable in 2 games. A Generation 8 debut means a shorter history, but Dragapult has appeared steadily across every generation since.
