Cryogonal Weakness
Cryogonal's Ice typing leaves it vulnerable to Fire, Fighting, Rock, and Steel. Levitate grants an additional Ground immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Cryogonal's special bulk (base 135 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

Cryogonal X & Y Guide
In X & Y, Don't let Cryogonal's 485 base stat total fool you. Levitate is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it C-Tier as a support. Freezedry with Rocky Helmet is the standard set.
In X & Y, Run Levitate on Cryogonal. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche.
In X & Y, Cryogonal fills the support role. It's a mixed attacker with base 50 Attack and 95 Sp. Atk. Base 105 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
In X & Y, run Freezedry, Rapid Spin, Recover, and Flash Cannon on Cryogonal. Freezedry is the most common pick at 0% usage. This set covers the support role with a mix of damage and utility.
Game Availability
Introduced in Black & White, Cryogonal has appeared in 9 games across 6 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
