Delphox X & Y Guide
For X & Y, we rate Delphox B-Tier: a solid option in X & Y for the right team. At 534 BST, it fits the sweeper role. Psychic with Choice Scarf is the standard set.
Blaze strengthens fire moves to inflict 1.5× damage at 1/3 max HP or less. That's the one you want on Delphox. Magician is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Base 104 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Delphox is a special attacker with base 114 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a sweeper.
In X & Y, run Psychic, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, and Calm Mind on Delphox. Psychic is the most common pick at 0% usage. Psychic provides reliable STAB damage.
