Is Crobat Good in Crystal Playthrough?
The Crobat from early Zubat friendship is one of Crystal's fastest paths to an elite team member. Outspeeds everything through the gym circuit and hits hard enough to matter against Chuck, Karen, and Koga at the E4. Crystal's single-version roster means no competition for the Poison/Flying slot from version exclusives.

Crobat Weakness
Electric, Ice, Psychic, and Rock moves hit Crobat for super-effective damage. The upside? Ground-type moves can't touch it at all. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Electric, Ice, Psychic, Rock |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Poison |
| 0.25x (Resist) | Grass, Fighting, Bug |
| 0x (Immune) | Ground |
- Dark and Steel types added — Fairy does not exist yet
- Moves are Physical or Special based on type, not per move
- Special stat split into Sp.Atk and Sp.Def

Moves List
Don't skip the egg moves. Crobat picks up Feint Attack and Gust only through breeding, and both fill gaps the natural movepool can't. STAB runs through Fly and Wing Attack while Bug and Dark coverage and more adds range.

Crobat Crystal Guide
For Crystal, we rate Crobat B-Tier: a solid option in Crystal for the right team. At 535 BST, it fits the pivot role. Toxic with Leftovers is the standard set.
Base 130 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Crobat is a physical attacker with base 90 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a pivot.
In Crystal, run Toxic, Confuseray, Giga Drain, and Haze on Crobat. Toxic is the most common pick at 0% usage. This set covers the pivot role with a mix of damage and utility.
For Crystal, Crobat has answers, but so do you. Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Electric, Ice, and Psychic-type attackers hit hardest.
Game Availability
Available in 18 titles since its debut in Gold & Silver, Crobat spans 9 generations of Pokemon games. It's accessible through wild encounters in most mainline games.
