Zweilous Weakness

Type-wise, Zweilous takes extra damage from Fairy, Ice, Fighting, Bug, and Dragon. Watch out for Fairy attacks, those deal 4x damage. Psychic moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. With 6 resistances, the defensive profile is strong.

Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Evolution

Partway through Deino's chain. Zweilous still has another evolution ahead before reaching Hydreigon. For breeding, takes forever to hatch with a decent partner pool via one egg group. HP has grown the most so far (+20), but there's still another 180 stats to gain in the final evolution. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.

Zweilous Guide

  • Zweilous is meant to evolve into Hydreigon. At 420 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.

  • In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Zweilous's biggest threats include Gardevoir (Fairy), Kyurem (Ice), and Machamp (Fighting), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Gardevoir is the most dangerous since Fairy moves deal 4x damage. Bug and Dragon-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.

  • In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Deino evolves into Zweilous at level 50. Zweilous evolves into Hydreigon at level 64. Zweilous is a middle-stage evolution in the Deino line.

  • Hustle is the go-to ability for Zweilous. It strengthens physical moves to inflict 1.5× damage, but decreases their accuracy to 0.8×. It's Zweilous's only ability.

  • At base 58 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Zweilous is a physical attacker with base 85 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two.

Game Availability

Zweilous joined the series in Black & White and has been available in 8 titles so far. With 6 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
