Fighting moves hit Ursaring for super-effective damage. The upside? Ghost-type moves can't touch it at all. With 90 HP and balanced defenses, Ursaring can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.

Black 2 & White 2 Evolution
Sitting between Teddiursa and Ursaluna, Ursaring is part of a chain that requires an evolution item. Not your typical level-up setup. So far, Attack got the biggest boost (+50 from Teddiursa). The final form adds another 50 stats on top. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.

Black 2 & White 2 Ursaring Best Moveset
The moveset leans on Ground and Dark coverage to catch would-be counters. Flame Orb means self-burn for Guts activation for Ursaring, and max HP and Attack EVs make sure nothing walls it cleanly. Guts fills in the gaps.

No wild encounters for Ursaring in Black 2 & White 2. Bring Teddiursa over from Gold, Crystal, or Scarlet, then level through the stages. Each step in the chain is laid out below.
Ursaring Guide
Ursaring is meant to evolve into Ursaluna. At 500 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.
In Black 2 & White 2, watch for Hitmonlee (Fighting) when using Ursaring. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
Guts increases Attack to 1.5× with a major status ailment. That's the one you want on Ursaring. Unnerve is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Quick Feet works too if your team needs something different.
At base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Ursaring is a physical attacker with base 130 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
