Stats & Training
Tyrunt's spread isn't flashy. Attack leads, Sp. Atk trails, 1 stats clear the bar. Tough to catch and worth 1 Attack EV, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Its large jaw has incredible destructive power. Some theories suggest that its restored form is different from its form of long ago.
Tyrunt is spoiled and selfish. It may just be trying to frolic, but sometimes the ones it’s trying to frolic with are gravely injured.
Tyrunt Weakness
Tyrunt is weak to Ice, Fighting, Ground, Dragon, Steel, and Fairy. It resists 5 types, giving it decent defensive coverage. Tyrunt's physical bulk (base 77 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

Tyrunt Guide
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Tyrunt isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Tyrantrum to unlock its full potential. At 362 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Run Strong Jaw on Tyrunt. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Tyrunt also gets Sturdy, but they don't compare.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Tyrunt fills the balanced role. It's leaning toward the physical side (base 89 Attack). Base 48 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Tyrunt does the job early-game if you need a Rock/Dragon type on your team. Evolve it into Tyrantrum before the later gyms and it holds up fine through the story.
Game Availability
