Recognizing their own weakness, they always live in a group. When alone, a STARAVIA cries noisily.

Staravia Weakness

Electric, Ice, and Rock moves hit Staravia for super-effective damage. The upside? Ground and Ghost-type moves can't touch it at all.

Staravia Guide

  • Get Staravia to Staraptor at level 34. At 340 BST, Staravia is just the starting point.

  • Level 34 gets you Staraptor. Not the fastest evolution, so consider Exp. Share or route grinding to speed it up.

  • For Platinum, you can run Staravia through the first few routes without issues. 340 BST won't carry you far though. Get it to Staraptor as fast as you can.

  • You can find Staravia in Platinum. The Locations section has the full breakdown of routes and encounter details. It also appears in 12 other games across the series.

Game Availability

Available in 13 titles since its debut in Diamond & Pearl, Staravia spans 7 generations of Pokemon games. It's accessible through catching or hatching as a base form in a solid number of games.
