Pyroar Guide
In X & Y, Pyroar works as a sweeper with 507 BST behind it. C-Tier on our list: a niche pick in X & Y's meta. Hypervoice with Choice Specs is the standard set.
In X & Y, yes. Mega Pyroar is the evolved form, sitting at 607 BST. Big power spike over base Pyroar (507). Equip the Mega Stone and it transforms in battle.
In X & Y, Pyroar's biggest threats include Milotic (Water), Conkeldurr (Fighting), and Excadrill (Ground), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Rock-type attackers are also a problem.
Rivalry is the go-to ability for Pyroar. It increases damage inflicted to 1.25× against Pokémon of the same gender, but decreases damage to 0.75× against the opposite gender. Its hidden ability Moxie can work in specific setups. Unnerve is the other option. Pick based on what your team needs.
Pyroar is a special attacker with base 109 Sp. Atk. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 106 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. Fits the sweeper role.
