Stats & Training
Attack and Defense carry most of Overqwil's stat budget. Sp. Atk's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 2 Attack EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Its lancelike spikes and savage temperament have earned it the nickname “sea fiend.” It slurps up poison to nourish itself.
Overqwil Weakness
Overqwil is weak to Ground. On the flip side, it's immune to Psychic-type moves entirely. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Overqwil's physical bulk (base 95 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

How to Evolve
Legends: Z-A Overqwil Best Moveset
One boost from Swords Dance and Overqwil gets dangerous fast. The Jolly nature targets max Attack and Speed, and Intimidate backs the whole approach. Crunch and the remaining moves handle most of what's left standing.

Moves
TMs carry this one. Overqwil learns Gunk Shot and Sludge Bomb naturally for STAB, but the offensive range comes almost entirely from technical machines. Normal and Water and beyond give it real matchup play.

How to Get Overqwil in Legends: Z-A
Overqwil can't be caught in Legends: Z-A. Transfer Qwilfish from Gold, Crystal, or Sword and evolve through the 2-stage line to get it. The step cards below map the full chain.
Overqwil Guide
In Legends: Z-A, Intimidate changes the entire equation for Overqwil. The 510 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked B-Tier as a wallbreaker. Crunch with Rocky Helmet is the standard set.
In Legends: Z-A, Overqwil's biggest threats include Excadrill (Ground), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
Intimidate is what you want on Overqwil. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Poison Point, Swift Swim) work on paper but Intimidate is what makes Overqwil worth using.
Base 85 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Overqwil is a physical attacker with base 115 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
For Legends: Z-A, the core moveset is Crunch, Swords Dance, Gunkshot, and Throatchop. Crunch leads at 12% usage. Crunch provides reliable STAB damage.
