Stats & Training
Loudred's spread isn't flashy. HP leads, Defense trails, 1 stats clear the bar. Common in the wild and worth 2 HP EVs, on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
When it stamps its feet and bellows, it generates ultrasonic waves that can blow apart a house.

Loudred Weakness
Type-wise, Loudred takes extra damage from Fighting. Ghost moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. Only 1 weakness makes it relatively easy to build around defensively.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Fighting |
| 0x (Immune) | Ghost |
- Dark and Steel types added — Fairy does not exist yet
- Moves are Physical or Special based on type, not per move
In FireRed & LeafGreen, Heracross can KO Loudred with Megahorn (119-141%).

Loudred Guide
In FireRed & LeafGreen, Loudred isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Exploud to unlock its full potential. At 360 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
In FireRed & LeafGreen, Loudred's biggest threats include Machamp (Fighting), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
Soundproof is the go-to ability for Loudred. It protects against sound-based moves. Its hidden ability Scrappy can work in specific setups.
In FireRed & LeafGreen, Loudred fills the balanced role. It's a physical attacker with base 71 Attack. Base 48 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go.
Game Availability
Loudred first appeared in Ruby & Sapphire and has been available in 14 games across 8 generations. Obtainable through catching or hatching as a base form in most titles where it appears.
