Stats & Training
An unusually even spread gives Joltik flexibility. Speed barely edges ahead. But Attack isn't far off. Common in the wild and follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve. Yields 1 Speed EV.
Since it can’t generate its own electricity, it sticks onto large-bodied Pokémon and absorbs static electricity.
They attach themselves to large-bodied Pokémon and absorb static electricity, which they store in an electric pouch.
Joltik Weakness
Joltik's Bug/Electric typing leaves it vulnerable to Fire and Rock. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Just 2 weak spots to worry about, which keeps teambuilding straightforward.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Fire, Rock |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Electric, Grass, Fighting, Steel |
In X & Y, Tyranitar can KO Joltik with Stone Edge (299-352%). Volcanion threatens a KO with Flamethrower (212-250%). Rhyperior's Rock Slide also KOs at 267-314%.
