Stats & Training
Raw HP carries Gogoat's bulk more than the defenses do. Defense barely registers. But that HP pool covers for it. A tough to catch Mount Pokemon that yields 2 HP EVs on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
It can tell how its Trainer is feeling by subtle shifts in the grip on its horns. This empathic sense lets them run as if one being.
They inhabit mountainous regions. The leader of the herd is decided by a battle of clashing horns.

Gogoat Guide
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Sap Sipper changes the entire equation for Gogoat. The 531 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as a tank. Horn Leech with Bigroot is the standard set.
Sap Sipper is what you want on Gogoat. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Grass Pelt) work on paper but Sap Sipper is what makes Gogoat worth using.
At base 68 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Gogoat is a physical attacker with base 100 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a tank.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, run Horn Leech, Earthquake, Leech Seed, and Wild Charge on Gogoat. Horn Leech is the most common pick at 25% usage. This set covers the tank role with a mix of damage and utility.
