Frogadier is the middle stage between Froakie and Greninja. It's a three-stage line with one more evolution to go. For breeding, average hatch time with plenty of partners via one egg group. In Scarlet & Violet, Run Protean on Frogadier. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Frogadier also gets Torrent, but they don't compare.
In Scarlet & Violet, Frogadier's hidden ability is Protean. Changes the bearer's type to match each move it uses. Better than the standard options for competitive play.
