Stats & Training
Raw HP carries Entei's bulk more than the defenses do. Sp. Def barely registers. But that HP pool covers for it. A near-impossible to catch Volcano Pokemon that yields 3 HP and Attack EVs on a slow 1.25M XP grind.
It is said that when it roars, a volcano erupts somewhere around the globe.

Entei Weakness
Entei is weak to Water, Ground, and Rock. 5 resistances help offset the weaknesses. With 115 HP and balanced defenses, Entei can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Water, Ground, Rock |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Fire, Grass, Ice, Bug, Steel |
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)
In Black & White, Excadrill can KO Entei with Earthquake (89-104%). Terrakion threatens a KO with Stone Edge (86-101%). Politoed deals 47-55% with Scald.

Entei Guide
In Black & White, Entei is a Legendary Pokemon rated C-Tier. At 580 BST, it hits hard. It excels as a sweeper. Extreme Speed with Choice Band is the standard set.
Pressure is the go-to ability for Entei. It increases the PP cost of moves targetting the Pokémon by one. Its hidden ability Inner Focus can work in specific setups.
Base 100 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Entei is a special attacker with base 90 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a sweeper.
In Black & White, the best way to handle Entei: Priority moves (Mach Punch, Aqua Jet, Ice Shard) bypass its speed. Bulky walls that resist its STAB also shut it down.
Game Availability
First obtainable in Gold & Silver, Entei has been featured in 17 titles across 9 generations. Legendary status means a single encounter per playthrough in most games.
