Stats & Training
Dedenne's built around special offense. Speed leads the charge, Defense pays for it. Common in the wild, worth 2 Speed EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
It’s small and its electricity-generating organ is not fully developed, so it uses its tail to absorb electricity from people’s homes and charge itself.
Dedenne emit electrical waves from the whiskers on their cheeks to communicate with each other. When low on electricity, they curl up and sleep.
Dedenne Weakness
Type-wise, Dedenne takes extra damage from Poison and Ground. Dragon moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. It resists 5 types, giving it decent defensive coverage. At base 101 Speed, Dedenne outspeeds most threats and doesn't need to tank what it can outrun.

In Scarlet & Violet, Dedenne's biggest threats include Crobat (Poison) and Rhydon (Ground), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. Dedenne's base 101 Speed lets it outpace many threats and strike first, which matters more than trying to tank hits.

In Scarlet & Violet, Dedenne has a 431 base stat total and ranks as C-Tier: a niche pick in Scarlet & Violet's meta. It works best as a pivot. Dazzling Gleam with Sitrus Berry is the standard set.
Cheek Pouch is the go-to ability for Dedenne. It restores HP upon eating a Berry, in addition to the Berry's effect. Its hidden ability Plus can work in specific setups. Pickup is the other option. Pick based on what your team needs.
In Scarlet & Violet, Electric/Fairy typing gives Dedenne 6 resistances plus Dragon immunity. Base 101 Speed is the standout stat. 431 BST gives it a workable foundation.
