Bronzong Weakness

Fire, Ground, Ghost, and Dark moves hit Bronzong for super-effective damage. The upside? Poison-type moves can't touch it at all. It resists 9 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely. Levitate grants an additional Ground immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Bronzong's overall bulk (67/116/116) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.

Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Bronzong Best Moveset

Bulk and offense in one package. Bronzong runs Leftovers for passive recovery each turn with a Brave nature, so it survives long enough to threaten with Trickroom. Defense and Sp. Def investment EVs and utility options make it hard to safely switch into.

Bronzong Guide

  • In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Bronzong looks average on paper at 500 BST. But Levitate is why it sees play. Build around that and it pulls its weight. C-Tier trick room on our tier list. Trickroom with Leftovers is the standard set.

  • In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, watch for Arcanine (Fire), Swampert (Ground), and Misdreavus (Ghost) when using Bronzong. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Dark-type attackers are also a problem. At base 33 Speed, Bronzong won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.

  • Bronzong gets Levitate, Heatproof, and Heavy Metal. But Levitate is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.

  • Bronzong is a physical attacker with base 89 Attack. Tanky enough to absorb a few hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 33 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. Fits the trick room role.

  • For Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Bronzong has answers, but so do you. Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Fire, Ground, and Ghost-type attackers hit hardest.

Game Availability

Debuting in Diamond & Pearl, Bronzong appears in 13 games across 7 generations. A reliable presence in a solid number of games, typically found through wild encounters.
