Stats & Training
Armarouge's spread isn't flashy. Sp. Atk leads, Attack trails, 4 stats clear the bar. Very hard to catch and worth 2 Sp. Atk EVs, on a slow 1.25M XP grind.
Armarouge evolved through the use of a set of armor that belonged to a distinguished warrior. This Pokémon is incredibly loyal.
This Pokémon clads itself in armor that has been fortified by psychic and fire energy, and it shoots blazing fireballs.
Armarouge Weakness
Armarouge is weak to Water, Ground, Rock, Ghost, and Dark. 7 resistances give it solid defensive coverage on top of that. Flash Fire grants an additional Fire immunity, reshaping the matchup chart.

Armarouge Guide
In Scarlet & Violet, Don't let Armarouge's 525 base stat total fool you. Flash Fire is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it A-Tier as a wallbreaker. Armorcannon with Weakness Policy is the standard set.
In Scarlet & Violet, Run Flash Fire on Armarouge. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Armarouge also gets Weak Armor, but they don't compare. On wall sets, Flash Fire pairs with Armarouge's base 100 Defense to absorb physical hits on the switch.
In Scarlet & Violet, Armarouge fills the wallbreaker role. It's a special attacker with base 125 Sp. Atk. Base 75 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
In Scarlet & Violet, the best way to handle Armarouge: Status moves (Toxic, Will-O-Wisp) wear it down. Setup sweepers can use it as a boost opportunity. Physical attackers can break through.
Game Availability
Introduced in Scarlet & Violet, Armarouge has appeared in 2 games across 2 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
