Shiinotic Evolutions
Shiinotic is the evolved form of Morelull. Breeding produces Morelull eggs, and they're average hatch time. Evolving from Morelull gave Shiinotic the biggest boost in Defense (+25), bringing the total to 405 stats. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Breeding
Breed with Shiinotic to get Morelull eggs easily using 50 partners from the Plant egg group. Notable egg moves include Growth, Leech Seed, Poison Powder and 1 more.
SwSh Shiinotic Best Moveset
Grass/Fairy with 90 Sp. Atk and 100 Sp. Def giving the moveset some special offense and bulk. AbilityEffect Spore punishes physical contact with random status effects. E-tier because 30 Speed goes dead last and 60/80 physical stats are too thin for sustained defensive play.

Moves List
Egg moves make a real difference. Shiinotic gets Growth and Leech Seed exclusively through breeding, filling gaps that TMs and level-up can't touch. Ghost and Psychic coverage and more rounds out the picture alongside Solar Beam and Moonblast.

Its flickering spores lure in prey and put them to sleep. Once this Pokémon has its prey snoozing, it drains their vitality with its fingertips.
If you see a light deep in a forest at night, don’t go near. Shiinotic will make you fall fast asleep.
Shiinotic Sword & Shield Guide
In Sword & Shield, Shiinotic's biggest threats include Gengar (Poison), Arcanine (Fire), and Walrein (Ice), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Gengar is the most dangerous since Poison moves deal 4x damage. Flying and Steel-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. At base 30 Speed, Shiinotic won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
In Sword & Shield, Shiinotic can work for a story run. 405 BST is average, but Grass/Fairy typing fills a niche depending on your team composition.
In Sword & Shield, Shiinotic has a 405 base stat total and ranks as C-Tier: a niche pick in Sword & Shield's meta. It works best as a trick room. Spore with Rocky Helmet is the standard set.
Illuminate is the go-to ability for Shiinotic. It doubles the wild encounter rate. Its hidden ability Rain Dish can work in specific setups. Effect Spore is the other option. Pick based on what your team needs.
In Sword & Shield, Shiinotic fills the trick room role. It's a special attacker with base 90 Sp. Atk. Base 30 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
Game Availability
Introduced in Sun & Moon, Shiinotic has appeared in 3 games across 4 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
