  • In Sun & Moon, watch for Scizor (Bug) and Houndoom (Dark) when using Oranguru. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.

  • Inner Focus prevents flinching. That's the one you want on Oranguru. Symbiosis is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Telepathy works too if your team needs something different.

  • In Sun & Moon, Oranguru fills the balanced role. It's a special attacker with base 90 Sp. Atk. At base 60 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's tanky enough to absorb a few hits.

  • In Sun & Moon, run Nasty Plot, Energy Ball, Psyshock, and Hiddenpowerfire on Oranguru. Nasty Plot is the most common pick at 0% usage. Psyshock provides reliable STAB damage.
