When it gets down on all fours as if to beg for forgiveness, it’s trying to lure opponents in so that it can stab them with its spear-like hair.

With sly cunning, it tries to lure people into the woods. Some believe it to have the power to make crops grow.

Morgrem Sword & Shield Guide

  • At 370 BST, Morgrem is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Grimmsnarl before bringing it to any serious fight.

  • In Sword & Shield, Morgrem's biggest threats include Crobat (Poison), Lucario (Steel), and Mimikyu (Fairy), all carrying super-effective STAB moves.

  • Morgrem gets Prankster, Frisk, and Pickpocket. But Prankster is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.

  • Morgrem is a special attacker with base 75 Sp. Atk. Fragile, can't afford to take many hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 70 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many.

  • In Sword & Shield, For a casual playthrough, Morgrem works as a placeholder. Dark/Fairy coverage is useful early. The real payoff is Grimmsnarl. That's where the stats start mattering.

Game Availability

Since Sword & Shield, Morgrem has been obtainable in 2 games. A Generation 8 debut means a shorter history, but Morgrem has appeared steadily across every generation since.
