Is Klinklang Good in Sword & Shield Playthrough?
Klinklang's 100 Attack and 90 Speed are workable, and Gear Grind hits twice. Steel type handles Opal's Fairy gym and resists most of Raihan's coverage. The level 49 evolution means it barely arrives before the Champion Cup. Passable if you've committed this far, but Excadrill and Ferrothorn fill Steel roles better.
Milo's typing presses Klink's defenses.
Klink trades roughly evenly with Nessa's team.
Kabu's team hits Klink's weaknesses hard.
Bea's team hits Klink's weaknesses hard.

Raihan's team hits Klang's weaknesses hard.
Klinklang trades roughly evenly with Bede's team.
Leon's team hits Klinklang's weaknesses hard.

Klinklang Weakness
Fire, Fighting, and Ground moves hit Klinklang for super-effective damage. The upside? Poison-type moves can't touch it at all. With 10 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Klinklang's physical bulk (base 115 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

Klinklang Evolutions
End of the line. Klinklang caps a three-stage chain that started at Klink. Breeding produces the base form, and eggs are average hatch time. Speed grew the most through evolution (+60 over Klink), and Klinklang peaks at 520 total stats. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Breeding
Klinklang is genderless — breed with Ditto to produce Klink eggs. Part of the Mineral egg group.
SwSh Klinklang Best Moveset
Steel TermStab at 100 Attack with MoveShift Gear for +2 Speed and +1 Attack setup. 90 Speed after one boost outruns most of the format. AbilityClear Body prevents stat manipulation. The moveset sets up and attacks. E-tier because Steel coverage alone is too narrow and 60 HP limits survivability.

Moves List
Leveling does the heavy lifting. Klinklang picks up Zap Cannon and Hyper Beam along the way, building toward a complete offensive set. TMs add Normal and Electric coverage and more, but the foundation's already strong by then.

Klinklang Sword & Shield Guide
For Sword & Shield, we rate Klinklang C-Tier: a niche pick in Sword & Shield's meta. At 520 BST, it fits the pivot role. Geargrind with Leftovers is the standard set.
Plus increases Special Attack to 1.5× when a friendly Pokémon has plus or minus. That's the one you want on Klinklang. Clear Body is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Minus works too if your team needs something different.
Base 90 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Klinklang is a physical attacker with base 100 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a pivot.
In Sword & Shield, run Geargrind, Shiftgear, Substitute, and Toxic on Klinklang. Geargrind is the most common pick at 0% usage. This set covers the pivot role with a mix of damage and utility.
