Fletchinder X & Y Guide
At 382 BST, Fletchinder is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Talonflame before bringing it to any serious fight.
Flame Body is the go-to ability for Fletchinder. It has a 30% chance of burning attacking Pokémon on contact. Its hidden ability Gale Wings can work in specific setups.
Fletchinder is a physical attacker with base 73 Attack. Fragile, can't afford to take many hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 84 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many.
In X & Y, For a casual playthrough, Fletchinder works as a placeholder. Fire/Flying coverage is useful early. The real payoff is Talonflame. That's where the stats start mattering.
