Amaura Evolutions
Amaura is the base form in a two-stage line leading to Aurorus. Check the evolution method below. Plenty of partners for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are slow to hatch. Evolving adds up to 159 stat points total. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve

4x weaknesses to Fighting and Steel on Rock/Ice typing, but AbilityRefrigerate turns Normal moves into Ice with TermStab bonus. 67 Sp. Atk at 46 Speed makes the moveset non-functional at this stage. Evolve into Aurorus for the real Refrigerate-boosted coverage.

The egg pool carries weight here. Aurora Veil and Discharge aren't available any other way for Amaura, and they meaningfully change what it threatens. Stack those on top of Meteor Beam and Blizzard for solid options.

Amaura Sword & Shield Guide
At 362 BST, Amaura is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Aurorus before bringing it to any serious fight.
In Sword & Shield, Amaura's biggest threats include Lucario (Fighting), Metagross (Steel), and Milotic (Water), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Lucario is the most dangerous since Fighting moves deal 4x damage. Grass, Ground, and Rock-type attackers are also a problem. With 6 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
Amaura gets Snow Warning and Refrigerate. But Snow Warning is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
In Sword & Shield, Snow Warning is the hidden ability. It summons hail that lasts indefinitely upon entering battle. Worth hunting for if you want Amaura to compete at a higher level.
Amaura is a mixed attacker with base 59 Attack and 67 Sp. Atk. Speed tells the real story. Base 46 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go.
