Stats & Training
Quilladin's spread isn't flashy. Defense leads, Sp. Atk trails, 1 stats clear the bar. Tough to catch and worth 2 Defense EVs, on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
It relies on its sturdy shell to deflect predators’ attacks. It counterattacks with its sharp quills.
They strengthen their lower bodies by running into one another. They are very kind and won’t start fights.
Quilladin Weakness
Quilladin's Grass typing leaves it vulnerable to Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, and Bug. It resists 4 types, giving it decent defensive coverage. Quilladin's physical bulk (base 95 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

| 0.5x (Resist) | Water, Electric, Grass, Ground |

Quilladin Guide
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Quilladin isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Chesnaught to unlock its full potential. At 405 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Chespin evolves into Quilladin at level 16. Quilladin evolves into Chesnaught at level 36. Quilladin is a middle-stage evolution in the Chespin line.
Overgrow strengthens grass moves to inflict 1.5× damage at 1/3 max HP or less. That's the one you want on Quilladin. Bulletproof is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Quilladin fills the balanced role. It's a physical attacker with base 78 Attack. At base 57 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
