How to Get Marshadow in Sword & Shield

Marshadow is not available as a wild encounter in this game.

This is an event-exclusive or special distribution.

Marshadow Guide

  • In Sword & Shield, Marshadow is a Mythical Pokemon rated A-Tier. At 600 BST, it hits hard. It excels as a sweeper. Base 125 Attack stands out.

  • In Sword & Shield, Marshadow's biggest threats include Braviary (Flying), Gardevoir (Psychic), and Aegislash (Ghost), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Fairy-type attackers are also a problem.

  • Technician is what you want on Marshadow. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. With base 125 Speed, Technician gives Marshadow an edge before opponents can react.

  • Base 125 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Marshadow is a physical attacker with base 125 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a sweeper.

  • In Sword & Shield, the best way to handle Marshadow: Priority moves (Mach Punch, Aqua Jet, Ice Shard) bypass its speed. Bulky walls that resist its STAB also shut it down.

Game Availability

Marshadow first appeared in Sun & Moon and has been available in 4 titles. Mythical distribution means event-only access in most games, making it one of the harder Pokemon to collect.
