Stats & Training
Attack and Defense carry most of Mabosstiff's stat budget. Sp. Atk's the obvious dump stat. Moderately hard to find and yields 2 Attack EVs. Follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
This Pokémon can store energy in its large dewlap. Mabosstiff unleashes this energy all at once to blow away enemies.
Mabosstiff loves playing with children. Though usually gentle, it takes on an intimidating look when protecting its family.
Mabosstiff Weakness
Mabosstiff's Dark typing leaves it vulnerable to Fighting, Bug, and Fairy. It shrugs off Psychic-type attacks completely. With 80 HP and balanced defenses, Mabosstiff can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.

Mabosstiff Guide
In Legends: Z-A, Intimidate changes the entire equation for Mabosstiff. The 505 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked B-Tier as a wallbreaker. Play Rough with Choice Band is the standard set.
Intimidate is what you want on Mabosstiff. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Guard Dog, Stakeout) work on paper but Intimidate is what makes Mabosstiff worth using.
Base 85 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Mabosstiff is a physical attacker with base 120 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
For Legends: Z-A, Mabosstiff has answers, but so do you. Status moves (Toxic, Will-O-Wisp) wear it down. Setup sweepers can use it as a boost opportunity. Special attackers bypass its physical bulk.
