Stats & Training
Attack and Sp. Def carry most of Komala's stat budget. HP's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 2 Attack EVs. Follows a slow 1.25M XP grind.
Komala spends its entire life sleeping. It feeds on leaves that contain a potent poison only Komala can break down.
A potent anesthetic can be made by diluting Komala’s drool. This anesthetic was used for surgeries in the past.
Komala Weakness
Komala's Normal typing leaves it vulnerable to Fighting. It shrugs off Ghost-type attacks completely. Komala's special bulk (base 95 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

Komala Guide
For Scarlet & Violet, we rate Komala C-Tier: a niche pick in Scarlet & Violet's meta. At 480 BST, it fits the wallbreaker role. Rapid Spin with Assault Vest is the standard set.
In Scarlet & Violet, watch for Machamp (Fighting) when using Komala. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
Comatose this Pokémon always acts as though it were Asleep. That's the one you want on Komala. It's the only ability Komala has.
At base 65 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Komala is a physical attacker with base 115 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
For Scarlet & Violet, Komala has answers, but so do you. Status moves (Toxic, Will-O-Wisp) wear it down. Setup sweepers can use it as a boost opportunity. Special attackers bypass its physical bulk.
