Stats & Training
Nothing fancy in Keldeo's spread. It leans special with Sp. Atk out front. And you'll get 3 Sp. Atk EVs per KO for it. Follows a slow 1.25M XP grind.
When it is resolute, its body fills with power and it becomes swifter. Its jumps are then too fast to follow.

Keldeo Weakness
Keldeo's Water/Fighting typing leaves it vulnerable to Electric, Grass, Flying, and Psychic. It resists 7 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Electric, Grass, Flying, Psychic |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Fire, Water, Ice, Bug, Rock, Dark, Steel |
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)
In Black 2 & White 2, Tyranitar's Superpower hits Keldeo for 44-52%. Hippowdon's Earthquake hits Keldeo for 41-48%.

Breeding
Black 2 & White 2 Keldeo Best Moveset
Bulk and offense in one package. Keldeo runs Leftovers for passive recovery each turn with a Timid nature, so it survives long enough to threaten with Secretsword. Max Sp. Atk and Speed EVs and Water coverage make it hard to safely switch into.

Keldeo best EVs are Sp. Atk and Speed
Special Sweeper Moveset
- Secret Sword
- Hydro Pump
- Surf

Moves
The level-up pool is slim, so TMs matter here. Keldeo's Normal and Flying coverage and more all comes from technical machines, built on top of Close Combat and Focus Blast for same-type damage. Take Down and Aqua Tail are the payoff moves.

Keldeo Guide
For the Black 2 & White 2 meta, At 580 BST, Keldeo is built different. We rank it A-Tier. As a Mythical Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as a sweeper. Secretsword with Leftovers is the standard set.
Justified raises Attack one stage upon taking damage from a dark move. That's the one you want on Keldeo. It's the only ability Keldeo has.
Keldeo is a special attacker with base 129 Sp. Atk. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 108 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. Fits the sweeper role.
For Black 2 & White 2, Keldeo has answers, but so do you. Priority moves (Mach Punch, Aqua Jet, Ice Shard) bypass its speed. Bulky walls that resist its STAB also shut it down.
Game Availability
Introduced in Black & White, Keldeo shows up in 9 games across 6 generations. Mythical status keeps it locked behind events or specific story content in most appearances.
