Stats & Training
You won't find a real weakness in Farfetch'd's stat line. It's well-rounded for the Wild Duck Pokemon, and what it does with that depends on moveset and items. Yields 1 Attack stat exp, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Farfetch'd Weakness
Farfetch'd's Normal/Flying typing leaves it vulnerable to Electric, Ice, and Rock. It shrugs off Ground and Ghost-type attacks completely.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Electric, Ice, Rock |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Grass, Bug |
| 0x (Immune) | Ground, Ghost |
- Dark and Steel types added — Fairy does not exist yet
- Moves are Physical or Special based on type, not per move
- Special stat split into Sp.Atk and Sp.Def

Farfetch'd Guide
At 352 BST, Farfetch'd is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Not competitive in its current form.
In Gold & Silver, watch for Raikou (Electric), Lapras (Ice), and Aerodactyl (Rock) when using Farfetch'd. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB.
Farfetch'd is a physical attacker with base 65 Attack. Fragile, can't afford to take many hits, too. Speed tells the real story. At base 60 Speed, it won't be moving first often.
In Gold & Silver, Farfetch'd at 352 BST is a stepping stone. Evolve it when you can for a real stat jump.
In Gold & Silver, run Agility, Baton Pass, Return, and Hiddenpowerrock on Farfetch'd. Agility is the most common pick at 20% usage. Return provides reliable STAB damage. Agility lets it set up before sweeping.
