Stats & Training
Attack leads and Speed gets almost nothing. That's Escavalier's stat line in a nutshell. 3 stats sit in respectable range, but the spread is brutal. Moderately hard to find and yields 2 Attack EVs.
They use shells they’ve stolen from Shelmet to arm and protect themselves. They’re very popular Pokémon in the Galar region.
It charges its enemies, lances at the ready. An image of one of its duels is captured in a famous painting of Escavalier clashing with Sirfetch’d.
Escavalier Weakness
Fire moves hit Escavalier for super-effective damage. Fire hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. The upside? Poison-type moves can't touch it at all. With 8 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Escavalier's overall bulk (70/105/105) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.

Escavalier Guide
For Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, we rate Escavalier C-Tier: a niche pick in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon's meta. At 495 BST, it fits the wallbreaker role. Megahorn with Choice Band is the standard set.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, watch for Volcarona (Fire) when using Escavalier. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Volcarona is the most dangerous since Fire moves deal 4x damage. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. At base 20 Speed, Escavalier won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
Swarm strengthens bug moves to inflict 1.5× damage at 1/3 max HP or less. That's the one you want on Escavalier. Overcoat is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Shell Armor works too if your team needs something different.
Base 20 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Escavalier is a physical attacker with base 135 Attack. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a wallbreaker.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, run Megahorn, Drillrun, Ironhead, and Knock Off on Escavalier. Megahorn is the most common pick at 19% usage. Megahorn provides reliable STAB damage.
Game Availability
