Is Exeggcute Good in Sword & Shield Playthrough?
Exeggcute shows up in the Isle of Armor DLC. Grass/Psychic is a type combo the base Galar roster mostly lacks, but by the time you access the DLC, the main story is done. On a replay, it handles Nessa and Bea (Sword) decently enough before evolving.
Exeggcute trades roughly evenly with Milo's team.
Exeggcute resists most of Nessa's coverage and hits back hard.
Exeggcute trades roughly evenly with Kabu's team.
Exeggcute has the type edge here and should clean up Bea's team.
Exeggcute trades roughly evenly with Opal's team.
Exeggcute has the type edge here and should clean up Gordie's team.
Piers's team hits Exeggcute's weaknesses hard.
Exeggcute trades roughly evenly with Raihan's team.
Bede's team hits Exeggcute's weaknesses hard.
Exeggutor trades roughly evenly with Leon's team.

Exeggcute Weakness
Type-wise, Exeggcute takes extra damage from Bug, Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Ghost, and Dark. Watch out for Bug attacks, those deal 4x damage. 6 resistances give it solid defensive coverage on top of that. Exeggcute's physical bulk (base 80 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 4x (Critical) | Bug |
| 2x (Weak) | Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Ghost, Dark |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Water, Electric, Grass, Fighting, Ground, Psychic |

Moves List
Breeding's the move. Ancient Power and Block give Exeggcute options it can't learn any other way, and Normal and Poison coverage and more already covers a decent range on top of Leaf Storm and Solar Beam. The egg moves push it further.

Base Stats
Though it may look like it’s just a bunch of eggs, it’s a proper Pokémon. Exeggcute communicates with others of its kind via telepathy, apparently.
These Pokémon get nervous when they’re not in a group of six. The minute even one member of the group goes missing, Exeggcute become cowardly.
Exeggcute Sword & Shield Guide
In Sword & Shield, Exeggcute does the job early-game if you need a Grass/Psychic type on your team. Evolve it into Exeggutor before the later gyms and it holds up fine through the story.
Game Availability
