Urshifu Weakness

Urshifu is weak to Fairy, Fighting, and Flying. Watch out for Fairy attacks, those deal 4x damage. On the flip side, it's immune to Psychic-type moves entirely. Urshifu's physical bulk (base 100 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

Urshifu Guide

  • In Sword & Shield, Urshifu is a Legendary Pokemon rated C-Tier. At 550 BST, it hits hard. It excels as a wallbreaker. Base 130 Attack stands out.

  • In Sword & Shield, Urshifu's biggest threats include Mimikyu (Fairy), Conkeldurr (Fighting), and Talonflame (Flying), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Mimikyu is the most dangerous since Fairy moves deal 4x damage.

  • Unseen Fist is the go-to ability for Urshifu. It contact moves can strike through Protect/Detect. It's Urshifu's only ability.

  • Base 97 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Urshifu is a physical attacker with base 130 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.

  • In Sword & Shield, the best way to handle Urshifu: Status moves (Toxic, Will-O-Wisp) wear it down. Setup sweepers can use it as a boost opportunity. Special attackers bypass its physical bulk.

Game Availability

First obtainable in Sword & Shield, Urshifu has been featured in 2 titles across 3 generations. Legendary status means a single encounter per playthrough in most games.
